Support Groups
Invictus support groups offer structured, peer-led spaces where grief can be spoken, witnessed, and gently explored. Rooted in research and grounded in lived experience, these groups create a welcoming environment for connection, meaning-making, and life after loss.

Work can shape who we are. It can give us purpose, identity, community, and direction. When something difficult happens in the workplace, the impact can run deeper than many people expect. Layoffs, organizational betrayal, traumatic incidents, or leaving a career that once felt like a calling can create real and lasting grief. Yet these experiences are often minimized as “it’s just a job” or “time to move on.” In reality, people may be grieving the loss of identity, stability, trust, safety, or professional community.
Weathering the Work Storm: Workplace Grief and Trauma Peer Support Group is a virtual peer support group offering a welcoming space to explore grief connected to workplace experiences. People from any industry are welcome. Participants are invited to reflect and process the emotional impact of difficult work-related events in a respectful and confidential setting.
The group is facilitated by Genna Reeves, Ph.D., grief peer counselor and educator, who has experienced workplace grief herself after leaving academia. This group offers a supportive peer environment for shared understanding rather than clinical therapy.
